My local bookstore owner (whom I love) has recently received an exclusive contract to provide all non-textbooks to our school. She "discovered" at a recent book conference that she was the only independent bookseller there without such a contract with the local district. I'm wondering about Junior Library Guild, Scholastic Warehouse, Follett Bound, preview titles, and all the other resources we use to put together a collection that is effective and fiscally responsible. Does anyone else have such a beast and how does it work?
