Students do not have access to inappropriate blogs from this site, either. Go to "Register", and then go to "NL Blogs Signup" to create your blog. It's not a blog, but I think it's better for your purpose. I've done book clubs using www.nicenet.org <http://www.nicenet.org/> which gives you a threaded discussion. You can limit access to just your students, and edit out inappropriate comments. www.blog-city.com <http://www.blog-city.com/> allows you to create a free Blog site.
