To clarify my previous post, is it ok for the library to provide digital
copies of reference chapters. My attempt was to make the reference book
chapter accessible electronically to a class of about 20 students for
research purposes. Thank you.

Subject: GEN: Copyright and scanning book chapters

Dear LM_net,

I recently created a WebQuest (posted to a public www domain). I
took a few chapters from some of the reference books in the library, scanned
the chapters, and posted the articles on the WebQuest. Is this a copyright
violation? I cannot find the answer and I have been searching for about 20
minutes. Thank you,
