I've been working extensively on the web lately looking at various lesson plans and ideas for my kindergarten and pre-k students. Somewhere along the line I remember seeing a suggestion from someone that they have their students color a picture of a "character" related to the story they heard that day (Clifford, Curious George, etc) and then they wrote the authors name on the pages. At the end of the unit or year the pages were compiled into a booklet for the students to take home. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I've searched the archives as well as the archives of our state listserv but I can't find this so it might have been on a website somewhere. Next time I'll be sure to bookmark it. Thanks for all the help I've gained from this listserv over the past year. It has greatly improved my library program. Cynthia Collins Media Specialist Dewey L.
