Hi -- I've been reading LM_NET for quite some time, but this is the first time I've posted, so please forgive me if I make any errors. A mother of a fourth grade boy has asked me for books that are of interest to a fourth grader but have lots of repetition and sight words. The boy is a good reader, but has a problem speaking. Because of his communication problem, he is hestitant to read out loud. His mother would like to build his confidence. Do you have any suggestions? He reads to himself at grade level -- it's in reading aloud that he has a problem. Please email me directly at melparre@umich.edu and I will post a HIT. Thank you so much for your help in this and for all of the other information and insight everyone has provided!
