Hi!

I didn't mean to start a panic! There is NO REASON to pull Lion Boy
from your elementary school shelves! I just am unfamiliar with the
series and wanted some expert opinions before I invested in them.
Across the board, lm-netters have declared them 4th grade & +
appropriate. Some folks love them, some think they are not so
exciting. Here are a few quotes for those of you who may be interested:

***
We are a K-4 school. Our kids (in this case it is mostly a boy book)
love it. Really for the 4ths. We also have the sequel. I don't
believe there is anything to be concerned about.

***
I have it in my K-5 school. It goes out. I tried to read it last
summer, but I found it boring. Some of my boys like it, others admit
that they didn't read it either. Few girls check it out.

*****
Definitely upper end of
primary school but I didn't find anything that would cause too much
offence. I know a couple of our students have already read it in their
book clubs so it is certainly being marketed at that age level.

****
It is checked out a lot and a lot of kids have read it and liked it.
****
   I
didn't see anything objectionable for an elementary school.

Thank you to everyone who replied so quickly!
