In my experience, no, children's publishers of FICTION certainly aren't
producing different versions of books for different states. But are they
trying to "hit" the standards targets? Sure. It makes good economic sense
to publish excellent fiction that will also aid educators in working to
meet standards. That's my take from the children's author seat, anyway :>
