Greetings: Once again I need your expert assistance in satisfying a need for one of our faculty. He is looking for a story to read aloud ("not too many words") about a character who is on the receiving end of bullying and/or rejection/or just being excluded and the story should impart an awareness of that character's feelings. As my middle school kids say, I'm having a brain "burp" and after suggesting Office Buckle and Gloria (didn't grab him), I couldn't think of anything! Any ideas - besides The Ugly Duckling (too long) would be greatly appreciated. This person is a school administrator in training who, as part of a course for his masters degree, was required to interview a school library media specialist!!! I'd hate to let him down. Please email me directly. If responses warrant it, I'll post a hit.
