LM_NET Archive



My district is about to formulate policy for selecting and approving novels to be 
read in class, either by the whole class or in literature circles.  One objective 
is to structure the selection so as to avoid idiosyncratic or "mature" titles that 
individual teachers might lobby for.
 
I would appreciate any suggestions, examples of policy wording and experiences with 
this issue.  Thank you.
