I am trying to find some reading incentives and ideas to get middle school students (grades 7-8) interested in using the library. Since I don't have regularly scheduled classes, teachers do sign up on occasion to bring the students to get outside reading books, book reports, or to check out books for research. I ordered a lot of really great books, but unlike my students in the lower grades, this age group does not show the same kind of enthusiasm. I have some ideas already to promote more outside reading, but would like to know what works in your schools. THANKS Barb Shapiro, LMS Monroe Twp.
