LM_NET Archive



Several people have talked about working with the living/willing as you 
begin collaborative teaching.  I heartily agree and recommend these steps:
    * Tune up your radar and find the one (or few) teachers who are 
risk-takers, innovators, undefended willing souls.
    * Approach them with a fabulous idea.
    * Pull off a stellar collaboration (team-planned, team-taught, 
team-evaluated).
    * As a team, advertise your success (within the school, to parents, at 
the district level).
    * Wait for the word to spread to other colleagues in the school.
    * Begin again :>

It takes time and it's a process but the old saw holds true: the longest 
journey begins with the first step.
