If the students can have access to "My Yahoo", there is a "briefcase" 
available where they can upload files from one internet connected 
computer, and access them from any other.   They would have to set up a 
page, then sign in, and sign out when they go to do the uploading since 
they need a password to access their own file and if they uploaded it 
to the wrong briefcase, they couldn't get it back later, but that 
should not be too hard to arrange.  They can upload any type of file, 
text or graphic, and I'm not sure about things such as power points or 
quicktimes. Still, it might be a solution for you.

Since several of you asked the same question, I felt a general posting 
was appropriate, since others may  be in a similar situation.
