Has anyone seen this before--meaning it is possibly plagiarized?

This was written from a 1991 AP language prompt re: Gary Soto.

It starts "The ubiquitous Almighty. Angels in the backyard, holy voices that
whisper admonishments from the less-than-holy plumbing. "A squirrel nailed itself
high on the trunk, where it forked into two large bark scabbed limbs."-a squirrel
that possesses a strikingly Christ-like Veneer.

Later it says, This nearly sarcastic tone reminds us of the moments in our youth in
which we fell back on our seemingly present but usually superficial innocence in
order to escape harsh punishment and a guilty conscience.

Later, The moral crudeness and inhumane cruelness of kicking his pet dog doesn't
concern. . .

And, Soto is a conceptual master. He brilliantly intertwines heady symbolisms with
powerful themes and intoxicating descriptions to swiftly whisk his readers back to
his date with sin;

Please let me know if you have seen this or know, besides google of a way to track
it down.
