Hi- I recently took a job as a Media Specialist and the library I am taking over has a paperback section. Just like it sounds, it is all of the paperbacks in the library regardless of what type of material they are. My understanding of separating works from the dewey system is to make them easier to browse. It doesn't make sense to me to browse paperbacks however since it lumps fiction and nonfiction in together. I was just wondering if there is some logic behind it that I don't grasp or if anyone considers it a common practice? Thanks. -Dan Dan Davenport, Media Specialist Howell High School, Howell MI librariman@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
