Is the collective brain aware of any good books for 7-10 year olds who are dealing with a grandparent with advanced Alzheimer's- Graduation of Jake Moon is out of their range, and Rose Blue's "Grandma Didn't Wave Back", which is quite old - is the only other one I can think of at the moment.
