Hi, I am trying to find the title and author of a book I used when I was in a middle school, which was 5 years ago. It was a collection of short stories and each one ended with an ironic twist. The story I remember was about a man whose name was Henry Blount (I think). He is looking at books in a used book store and comes across an old volume with the title "The Life and Death of Henry Blount." Naturally, he buys it and realizes it is about his life and tells when, where and how he will die. He does everything he can to avoid those circumstances and thinks he has been successful when an ironic twist at the end of the story changes everything. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I want to use it as a read aloud, if I can figure out the title and get a hold of a copy. I think the author's last name started with a "W." I can almost see it on the shelf.
