Anna,

We have a separate location for our Career books - Career Center and the
call numbers are CC 780 (careers in music) or CC 610.69 (careers in
medicine) or REF CC 331.7 (Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance).

Subject: HS: Career Research Call Number

Hi,

I have been following the Bio thread and have a question relating to

it. I have just started increasing our career books and am in the

process of starting a small career resource center.

I know that I don't want to file in my non-fiction by subject

Dewey, because all of the resources would be scattered throughout

depending on the field. i.e. Career Opportunities in Banking, finance,

and insurance under 332, while Career opportunities in casinos and

casino hotels under 795.

I am thinking about putting these in reference under REF 331.7. I

am wondering if I should have a whole different call number like CAR and

then go by Dewey for subject. i.e. CAR 332 for Career Opportunities in

Banking, finance, and insurance and CAR 795 for Career opportunities in

casinos and casino hotels.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

A. Brueher
