Hi All! I am searching for a title for a book that I remember reading to the kids in my first school many years ago. It was probably published in the 60's or 70's and was the story of a peacock who thought he was the "king of the forest? Jungle?" The main thing I remember about it is that the peacock was always ordering the other birds around and they would say things like "who will do this or do that" and his response was "Do I hear grumbling?" It all ends with a lion coming and stealing the peacock's feathers and him making up with the birds. The kids I worked with loved it and I would like to find another copy. If it sounds familiar to one of you, please e-mail it to me off-line. Thanks!
