Library Media Connection just completed a survey on lunch coverage for
school libraires. The results will be in the Aug/Sep issue of the
magazine. As a preview, more than half the reporting libraries have
either another trained librarian or a library clerk covering the library
during lunch.

All LMC surveys are posted on the www.linworth.com at this URL:

Hi,

How is lunch duty handled at your school?

Do the teachers cover their own?

Is there a rotating schedule using all teachers/staff?

Do you use volunteers?

Paid lunchroom/recess aides?

Specials teachers (music, art, gym, librarian, computers, Spanish)
cover all
duties-no one else has duties

Other

I am looking for ideas to present to the principal since only the
specials
teachers have lunch and recess duty for 25-45 minutes every day and we
are
getting burned out and are looking for other options.

Thanks

Sharon
