I am looking for information on the advantages and disadvantages to having a school library which serves grades 6 through 12. I have searche the archives and have just found a few pieces of information. Our district is considering a brand new building which will house middle and high school students. All areas will be separate except for the library, which would serve up to 2400 students. The collections would be combined. As the middle school librarian I am wondering if having combined collections would turn my job into that of a book censor rather than one who promotes books to my students. So I am skeptical on many fronts. My principal is looking for feedback and as a first year librarian, I am in need of your expertise and experience. Thanks Leslie Wagner Librarian Fred S.
