[LM_NET] OT: non-hit--ipod to ipod transfer

I received only two responses and both were for Macs.  I did get quite a few
requests for a hit.

We are on a Windows platform.  We found several suggestions and programs
online and saw that the new Itunes 7 was supposed to allow for that.  We
first tried sharepod and copypod with no luck.  She then downloaded Itunes 7
to make the transfer and that program totally wiped out everything on her
Ipod.  Theoretically, you can again download music purchased from Itunes but
that is not possible either now.  I have a very unhappy college student.
She did discover that the latest version of Itunes has wiped out all music
and photos on the Ipods of over 4,000 other people so far also.  I didn't
have any trouble with it myself on my own computer, but I was not trying to
upload from the Ipod to the computer.  If anyone finds a solution, please
post.
