Does detention meet in your library?

It had been suggested that students serving detention need resources to do
their work, which means computers in either the library or the lab down
the hall.

Would you see a danger in having students link "detention" with "library"
or would you see a benefit?

Additional information:
Our detention is supervised by a school safety officer.

Our library is open with library staff 40 min. after the last bell.
Detention normally starts 10 min. after the bell.

If detention were in the library, would that mean the library is open for
all?

Thoughts?
