Barbara: Cynthia Leitich Smith has a listing of the various state awards with links at her web site. Might be a good place to begin. http://www.cynthialeitichsmith.com/ teri ========== Teri S. Although your Australian colleagues are still on vacation (and some sweltering in record temperatures) some of us just can't hibernate for too long. And, as usual, I have a question ... I am writing an article for Teacher Librarian and it has been suggested that I mention some of the state-based readers' choice awards such as the "Forest of Reading" program in Ontario. Naturally it makes sense to include programs from the US and Canada, not Australia so I need to know the names of those that are appropriate. If you could send me the name of your state award and its website, I would be grateful. Thanks, as usual, for your help.
