Packing inappropriate books off to the ms or hs library can be a good
solution for a gs librarian, but doesn't help the upper level librarians
when they get one that "can't" stay. I have had that happen to me a few
times, and I "pack" those books off to the public library. At least in my
situation, the taxpayers are basically the same for both libraries, so it
seems a better solution that getting rid of the book. I'm sure in most cases
where we guess wrong on a book, the book is OK, just not for the group we
cover. Putting it in the public library makes it available to everyone.
