A few years ago I had a group of teachers that liked to bring their classes in to research Australian animals. I never had enough print resources and when I finally got some money, I tried to find some books to support this project. I was amazed to discover that even though I had money, I couldn't find books to buy. Most of the books in print were for elementary age. I would like to find some good books for my library and I might possibly explore this lack of literature for a graduate class I'm taking, so I have two questions: Do any of your teachers do research projects on Australian animals? Do you have adequate print resources? If so, what kind of print resources do you have that specifically address Australian animals. I'm especially interested if you have books on a single animal, such as echidna or platypus, rather than a book that includes multiple animals of Australia. Thanks!
