Hello! I’m a new librarian and I have been hired to work at a k-12 library. We have 800 elementary students and 400 students in grades 6-12. I’m wondering if any librarians have ideas about the set-up of the library. Do you shelve all the fiction together or do you have an elementary section and a 6-12 section? I understand the idea of shelving it all together with different spine labels. But, it seems like it be more difficult for elementary kids to find something if all the books are together? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
