Clever Ones, I am faced again with the fact that I will not have even a part time aide this coming school year. I service a school of approx. 800 Pre-K to 4th graders, and want to make a presentation at our volunteer breakfast at the beginning of the school year. I would like to have a Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Become a Library Volunteer (a la David Letterman). I want it to be light-hearted, yet get across the seriousness that the success of the Library is due to the volunteers who consistently commit their time to the Library, and that that success is directly related to their children's success in school. Any good ideas for a Top 10 List, and any other volunteer recruitment successes you'd like to share? I will be happy to post a hit of the ideas I hope to get. Keep Cool!!!
