-----Original Message----- Date: Mon, 31 Jul 2006 00:16:12 +0200 Subject: Target: Wiki hosting sites for education From: "deborah.stafford@t-online.de" <deborah.stafford@t-online.de> To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU A collegue and I are teaching/facilitating a credit course focused on Web 2.0 and specifically geared to ET (Educational Technologist) and librarians in our district. The course will meet online for a pre-session, and four follow up sessions but will meet in person for a full day. We want to make the course hands on as much as possible and would like to create a WIKI that participants will contribute to. To do this we need a free or very inexpensive wiki host, one that will allow up to 40 people to contribute to for at least one month past August 19. We also plan to discuss DOPA and the fact that if it passes, there is a clause that allows educational use of things like wiki. So, if you know of a wiki hosting site that would work well for a school and course like this, please give me the details. I will then post a hit. Deborah Stafford Librarian Gen.
