The Public Information Office (PIO) of The American Library Association which has a web site where librarians can share library funding stories, including shrinking school library positions. It is: <http://www.ala.org/ala/news/libraryfunding/libraryfunding.htm> Near the bottom of the page, there's a section called "Tell Your Story!" where people can share stories. Nothing makes the case more strongly for decision makers than personal stories and hearing from constituents. Your library story will help bring the facts and figures to life. Look at ALA's anecdotal database to read stories from around the country. It's time to make our stories public though the ALA PIO!
