Nancy, I empathize it's one of the real weaknesses of Follett -- I hate their reports but haven't found any way around them. Let us all know if someone has a brilliant idea. Tom Kaun Thomas T. Kaun Library Media Teacher Redwood High School, Bessie Chin Library 395 Doherty Drive, Larkspur, CA 94939 415 945-3662; fax 945-3675 http://rhslibrary.org/ ----- Original Message ---- From: Nancy KapLon <nkaplon@SEEDSCHOOLDC.ORG> To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Sent: Tuesday, June 6, 2006 11:18:29 AM Subject: TARGET: Follett Circulation Plus 5.0 users and overdue letters Hi Everyone, I've emailed Follett's tech support about this, but while I wait, I thought someone else may have experienced this problem! We have Follett's Circulation Plus (version 5.0), and each time I run overdue letters I have to spend hours reformatting the letters (taking out excess space, trying to format the letters so they are one page per student, etc.). Plus, for students who have both overdue books and fines, I have to completely replace the text I've created for the letter since I can't run those letters correctly from the system. Is there a way to export or extract information that will give me names of students AND the titles of the books they owe? The extraction tool seems to only give me the number of books, or the amount of money owed total. I do use overdue letters and will continue to. But does anyone know how to make this work better in Circulation Plus? Thank you!
