ALA Conference this week, particularly with the vendors.  But to all of you

PRESS RELEASE

Shonda Brisco Joins *School** Library Journal* as New Digital Resources
Columnist





Shonda Brisco, Technology Librarian at the Fort Worth Country Day School,
Texas, has joined *School Library Journal* as the new Digital Resources
columnist. Previously known as the E-Reference column, it has been renamed
to reflect the breadth of electronic resources being published today, which
extend from databases of text to databases of audio and video content, from
collections of images to collections of e-books.



"We're very pleased to have someone with Shonda's experience join us," said
Brian Kenney, *School Library Journal*'s editor-in-chief. "Evaluating
electronic content is an important part of *SLJ*'s mission. I'm sure this
column will prove invaluable to librarians as they develop their digital
collections."



Digital Resources, which will run every month, will review new products as
they come to market, although several times a year we will run comparative
reviews in specific subject areas. The first Digital Resources column will
run in the July issue.



Brisco has many years of experience in school libraries, and regularly
publishes and conducts workshops in technology and the evaluation of
electronic materials. She holds an MLIS from the University of Oklahoma and
a B.A. in Education from Northeastern State University. She can be reached
