[LM_NET] Mid: Poetry Slam

I am planning our first ever Poetry Slam.  I am working with one of our 6th grade 
teachers.  Fortunately, she participates in them herself.  

We are having workshops for six weeks beforehand to help them get ready.  We are 
soliciting local businesses for prizes.  Our kids like to join things and 
participate in contests.

I have the Slam Poetry manual from ALA.

So, anything else you can share with me?  Any experiences you have had?
