Hi,

I asked earlier in the school year if anyone had had the following performer
at their school.

Not one got back to me but I took a chance.

We had the following assembly at our school on Tuesday and the students and
staff in grades 3-5 loved it.

He charged $600 for two approx. 40 minute assemblies.

Comedy Magic of Joseph Keppel. Bethlehem, PA. 610-866-4511

"Joseph Keppel presents "Turn Off the TV, and Read." With the snap of a
finger, a full size television and stereo instantly turns into a bookshelf
complete with real books! Program is designed not only to entertain
children, but to encourage children to read and develop good reading
skills...."

This is the response from my staff.

My kids liked the program. They especially liked how the tricks were
related to subjects like Math, Social Studies, etc.

From the little I saw of it, it looked great.

It was great! I noticed my whole class seemed to be more engaged than
they've been for other assemblies. He did an excellent job using magic to
refocus on reading. I walked away knowing that the point of his
presentation was to go read, and even had some idea where to look for books
about the topics he mentioned.

The students loved the tricks and were talking about how great he was
afterwards. I thought he would directly talk about turn off tv week so I was
a little mislead by the title of his program but it was a great way to kick
off tv turnoff week pledging at my school.
