I mentioned it to some of my students and they don't want them either.
 The ones that are intererest in games have them at home - and do NOT
want them in the library.  Others just aren't interested.    Why? 
Because, as much as they break the rules here (no use of the library
computers that isn't academic; no food in the library - part of the no
food out of the dining hall rule; voices low) they respect the space
and want it for academic use, not "fun" use.

Could be that your students feel the same.

One thing I've noticed is that this whole issue of gaming and MySpace
use, etc., seems to be taking on the aura of IMPERATIVE.  Perhaps
that's the case in public libraries, which have a very different
mandate than school libraries.  As for me, I'm not convinced yet that
these are important things to have here.
