Are summer reading lists required for YOUR medium sized to large sized public school district? As a student growing up, and as a faculty member now - I have never been a part of required summer reading. I am intrigued but wonder how a public school system requires and carries this out. Now in a military town with so many moving in/out, and in general with lots of parents not carrying enough to support summer reading I just wonder how any public school system could ever do this. If YOURS does, I'm interested in hearing about it!
