I had a second grader ask me for a book about staying safe. It took me several rounds of questions to find out what he wanted, and I don't think I got it all even yet. The boy is African American and he lives in a city that has that euphemism "inner city", poor people of color. What I have so far is how to stay out of fights with people who are older than you. I have some books about conflict resolution, but it is more peer to peer. Not sure it addresses what he needs. Any ideas? Any books that might help? Thanks!
