Greetings! At our elementary school, we are looking to incorporate some sort of formal registry program. After attending a Ruby Payne workshop, it became apparent to us that very rarely do our children speak in this formal register. (Yes, rather than Yeah. Making eye contact. May I, etc.) Is anyone working in a school where "formal register" is being taught as part of the curriculum? It's almost like a type of social skills curriculum. If anyone has a curriculum that they're willing to share, or any information at all on this topic, I'll gladly post a hit. Thanks so much for helping us get this off the ground!
