Hello all, Our upper schools both use Athena and soon will need to change over to another program. I use Alexandria in the lower levels and wonder if the move to Alex for the upper levels would be a good idea as my students come out of the elementaries with a good idea of how to do simple searches in that OPAC. I do not teach bolean searching in the lementary grades. The decision is eventually theirs, but I'd like to share your advice, good or bad, with them. Both upper level libraries are currently running their own version of Athena from the district servers. I have the database for each elementary building in my office and have total control over all operations with my servers. Have any of you moved to Alexandria from Athena at an upper level building? How easy was the move? Advice to offer? "Librarian.
