Our regional public library system is holding a regional read on the book The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman. Our school library system is participating in this event by encouraging teachers in districts to use the book or chapters from it in their instruction. We are looking for ways to involve younger students in learning about globalization and came across the website www.epals.com. I am wondering if any of you have experience using this website which seems to promote links between classrooms around the world. If you have used it in your library classes or with a teacher, we'd love to hear about your experience with it. Or if there are other sites which support classroom connections between cultures please let us know. Thank you for your help! Cindy Staley Cindy Staley School Library Media Specialist Owen D.
