Hi everyone! This year I would like to send a letter home to parents explaining about the library and also listing fines for damaging books. Last year, I had a problem, especailly with my younger students (I'm in a k-5 school), with students marking and drawing in books. How much of a fine should I charge for this type of damage? Also, what do you charge for missing barcodes, torn pages, etc.? I would love to see what everyone charges for different types of damages. Also, if anyone has a parent letter that they send home at the beginning of the year and is willing to share with me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
