This is sort-of off topic because it is a personal request. My daughter (I adopted her when she was 10) is African-American wants a "fashion magazine" subscription for christmas. She loves fashion, make-up, and style but she's a very impressionable, young-for-her-age tween and Teen Vogue is a little too over-the-top while Justine and Girls Life seem to be predominately caucasian/anglo (IMHO). Could anyone suggest a magazine for a girl like her that promotes strong, positive portrayal of African-American girls? -- Susan Grigsby, Teacher-Librarian Elkins Pointe Middle School Alpharetta, Georgia susan.grigsby@gmail.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
