Hi-

I have a teacher who believes a student has plagiarized a movie script. There are
too many things in the script that this student (and an 8th grader) would not be
familiar with to have written it plus it sounds vaguely familiar.

The teacher and I have searched the Internet thinking the student plagiarized it
from there. This was unsuccessful. So we are thinking it might be based on a book.

Would anyone know if this sounds like a book they might have come across?

The script is about a young sailor, Audric, who works onboard a ship belonging to
Britain called the Silhouette. Its set in the 19th century. The ship hits rough
waters and the young sailor falls sick. The ship arrives in London and the sailor
is brought to a doctor. After recovering, he wanders around and then falls into a
deep sleep which takes him to the 21st century. He meets a girl, Isadora, who
helps him find a place to stay and who he falls in love with. The student has one
phrase that sounds like it had to come from someplace, but before Audric returns to
his own time period he tells Isadora that "Let's be a movie, and never forget."

Does this sound familiar to anyone? We would really like to learn where the
student has taken the story from.

Thanks,
