And then to make SURE that no one would EVER think of stealing a library book, we would also stamp the top, side, and bottom edges of the book (when it is closed, you can easily use an ink stamper to insert your library's name onto the page edges which can only be recognized when the book is closed). I hated marking out every single stamped edge, inside, outside, and page 23 of every book when I weeded!!
