LM_NET Archive

Actually, the HIT: is supposed to go to the list so that the answers
appear in the archives.

Also, aren't we supposed to be replying to the person asking the
question? So, that unnecessary traffic is eliminated?

Sometimes the replies spill over in the general list, especially when it
is more of a discussion topic, not a request for something.

Subject: GEN: Target and Hit discussion

I would like to open a discussion of how these are handled on the list.
I know that the we are supposed to compile the answers for a hit and
just send them out to those who request them. But that is so time
consuming. In the past (until about a year ago), most hits of general
interest were actually posted to the list. I learned lots of great info
and also save stuff that I might need for later. When I didn't want the
info, I just deleted. I feel like I have lost a great source of
information because hits are never posted anymore. What do others
think?
