Dear Fellow Netters,
Each year an author visits our intermediate (grades 3-5) elementary school for
the day, and each year the author gives three presentations,one for each grade
level. That leaves another hefty segment of the day free for book signing and
special events. We have filled that time mostly with signing and chatting
opportunities, but would like to offer something a little more substantial.
However, we can't accommodate the whole school in a special program. Have any of
you done creative things with part of the author visit day? If you have had a
writing workshop, how have you chosen the participants? Any way to be selective
without hurting anyone's feelings?
I just know that you have some great ideas, and I will post a hit if you send
them to me!
