Please excuse the cross-posting ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Greetings, LM_NETters. I wanted to share the awesome news that Marin County (Calif.) Office of Education recently produced a TV show about information literacy. And, after a lot of breath holding, we are finally able to announce that the show is now available for viewing online. Each month Comcast, our local cable TV provider, produces a show, called Education Matters, for the COE. This month (December 2007) the show was all about information literacy. The show was taped at two of our schools and at the Comcast studios and features interviews by our local county superintendent of education, Mary Jane Burke. Mary Jane interviewed Jane Ritter of the Mill Valley schools, Dane Lancaster, tech director at the COE, Lori Deibel of the Branson School and yours truly from Redwood High School. The show also features students and teachers from Strawberry Point Elementary School and Redwood High School. If you live in Marin County you can see the show on Comcast Cable Channel 78,* * - Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. - Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. - Thursday nights at 8:30 p.m If you don't live in Marin or don't get your TV via Comcast you can still view the show by going to the Education Matters Web site <http://educationmatters.tv/> and clicking on "Watch It" next to the show title. It was really neat to participate in this project and we are very gratefully to Mary Jane Burke and Dane Lancaster for being such strong supporters of our work. Enjoy. Tom Kaun -- Thomas T.
