Original Post:
Has anyone ever used Movie Maker? I am having trouble adding music to my movie.
It seems as if my music, which was downloaded from iTunes is not an audio file. I
can't figure out how to save it as a audio file (.wav? .snd? not sure) to be able
to import it into Movie Maker. Can anyone shed some light? I'm getting frustrated!

In my experience, the music you use with Movie Maker has to be stored on the
computer you are using to create your movie. Normally these are tracks from a CD
that you have copied to your computer (don't get me started with the copyright
legalities with this!). Usually music that is saved on your computer as a .WAV file
will work fine. I'm not sure how you convert from iTunes.

Try opening the music in Media Player, then ripping it from there. That's how we
use music from CD's. We may also have had to burn a CD from ITunes, then rip it
using Media Player. We use Movie Maker once a year and then I seem to immediately
forget all of the details. If you get different responses, I'd love to know about
them.

I just took a class on movie maker and they said to
use audacity. It's a free tool you can download from
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

---------------------------------
To convert your iTune music to a .wav file you will have to burn the music
to a disk and then open it up in Windows media player or any other media
player. Then you can save it as a .wav and add it to Movie Maker.

I added sound to a ppt this way, & it took me 2 days of hair pulling, then I
asked my nephew & got the answer in 2 minutes!
