In my earlier post, I neglected to say that I would make it IMPERATIVE for students to use a neck strap whenever they are handling/using a digital camera. A neck strap is usually included with a digital camera, and it can prevent many costly slippages and drops. Most cameras today have a thin plastic body which can't survive a hard drop. Since enforcing the neckstrap rule, we have never had damage to a digital camera at school! I would like your advice on the best replacement camera. I can look up which cameras get the best revues as far as the technology goes, but I'm really interested in a extremely user friendly camera. The broken camera was purchased just recently, of course it was dropped right after the one year warranty was up. However, even when the new camera was working my teachers preferred our old digital camera that saves to a floppy disk because it was easier for them to use. Do you have any recommendations? Is there any digital camera out there that can stand a little abuse? Thanks in advance for all your help! I will post a hit of all replies.
