Good morning, An 8th grade teacher has just been told they are revamping their curriculum and may no longer teach To Kill a Mockingbird or Romeo and Juliet. She is looking for ideas of books to replace these. She was hoping at least one of them would tie into the Civil War (Soc. Stud. curric.). Any thoughts on great literature for middle schoolers? Thanks in advance for your help. -- Carolyn Wert Librarian Charles Boehm Middle School 866 Big Oak Road Yardley, PA 19067 Phone: 215.428.4220, ext. 30870 Fax: 215.428.9605 cmwert@comcast.net -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
