I just had to add my hearty endorsement for Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie
Meyer. I had read about Twilight's appeal to both adults and young adults, so with
my curiosity peaked I bought Twilight. I had originally hesitated because I wasn't
sure I would like the vampire content. Well, I could not put the book down. It so
transcends anything to do with vampires. That's an important point I wanted to note
for others who may hesitate to pick up these books. Bella and Edward give forbidden
love a good name. Of course, the second one, New Moon, moves on to include were
wolves, too, and, again, I couldn't put it down. Stephenie Meyer is one of the best
new writers to grace the novel arena, a story teller of tremendous talent. It's no
surprise that adults and students devour her work. Eclipse, the third installment
in this series, is due out the end of August or first of September. I look forward
to it every bit as much as the last Harry Potter in July, and I was a Harry Pott!
er fan even before he had caught on in this country. Twilight and New Moon have
that same magical power of instilling a love of reading in their readers as Harry
has done. Middle school and high school libraries should definitely have these two
entrancing novels on their shelves.
